How to summary: If your device has multiple input sources you can configure which one to use, this How To shows you how to change your devices audio input source.
Android devices have one or more audio input sources. The default audio source is usually set to the device microphone however other options mat be available.
To set an alternative input source first click the application overflow menu (Figure 1) and then click the Preferences button
From the preferences screen find and click the Audio Source option
The three different options available:
- Mic - The device microphone. This is the default input source and usually the best quality
- Camcorder Mic - Use this setting for ...
- Phone Call - Many Android devices do not allow phone call recordings, this is outside of Dictomates control however a way round this limitation is to enable the devices speaker phone with Dictomate recording in the background.
