This policy describes how and when we collect, use and share data in relation to the Dictomate application.
Dictomate requires access to the microphone in your Android device to be able to record audio, which is the applications main feature.
The data collected, audio from the microphone in your Android device, is recorded and stored in MP3 format on your device allowing you to play back the audio recorded at anytime through the Dictomate application.
The Dictomate application provides you, the user, with the ability to share each recording (i.e. each MP3 file) or a sub-section of a recording using the Sharing system provided by the Android OS. This sharing only occurs with other applications installed on your Android device. Which applications you can share these recordings with depend on your specific device and the applications you have installed.
Handroid recommends you only share your Dictomate recordings with 3rd party applications that you trust and provide a privacy policy.
You can opt out of this data collection and use at anytime by un-installing the application from your device.

Like many other Android application developers, Handroid use Google Analytics' SDK in the Dictomate Lite app.
Google Analytics is a piece of software provided by Google that records various data about users of the app (you).
Handroid uses Google Analytics to collect non-personal data such as:
The data gathered allows Handroid to better understand the users of the Dictomate Lite app, such as what features you use most and what features you use least. This allows Handroid to make better decisions about the app and future developments of it.
Occasionally Handroid will compile aggregate statistics on various usage and/or user metrics for the app. No personally identifying data is included in this type of reporting.
None of the data gathered through Google Analytics is shared with any 3rd party.
All of our activity falls within the bounds of the Google Analytics Terms of Service.
The license agreement for Dictomate Lite requires you to accept tracking if you wish to continue using the app. However you can un-install the app from your device at anytime which will stop the tracking.

Mic Stream requires access to the microphone in your Android device to be able to transmit audio across a wifi network, which is the applications main feature. Mic Stream also uses the camera to read a QR code for network connectivity purpose. Encoded in the QR code are connection details to allow a transmitting and recieving device running Mic Stream to connect to one another over a wifi network to allow transmission of data between the devices.
Data is transmitted, from the microphone of the transmitting device, running MicStream, across the network unencrypted in Pulse-Code Modulation(PCM) format to the receiving device running another instance of MicStream. The data is then decoded and played back as audio on the receiving device.
No data audio data is saved to either the transmitting or receiving device. The last devices connection details are stored on the receiving device to allow easy connection to that same device again without going through the pairing process using the QR code.
