How to summary: The ability to add bookmarks to recordings is one of the many great features of Dictomate.  Bookmarks allow you to navigate directly to the key points of a recording.  Bookmarks can be added during a recording or added while playing back an existing recording.  This how to details how to add a bookmarks during a recording.

Firstly, start a recording by pressing the Start button on the main screen (Figure 1).  When a recording is in progress the Bookmarks button turns green and becomes enabled

Press the green Bookmark button to create a new bookmark, the newly created bookmark appears in the bookmarks list (Figure 2)

Renaming and applying a meaningful title to the newly created bookmark is easy, to achieve this long press the Bookmark 1 entry to show the Bookmark Rename dialog box (Figure 3)

You can now enter a relevant title to the newly created bookmark (Figure 4), in this example the bookmark has been renamed to Introduction


 

Repeat this process for as many bookmarks that are required.  Figure 4 shows a recording with three bookmarks all renamed appropriately
