Version: Dictomate (Pro)

How to summary: Many users start using Dictomate Lite and move over to Dictomate Pro.  Your recordings in Dictomate Lite can easily be exported and imported into Dictomate Pro.  Follow this How To to achieve this

First start DictomateLite and navigate to your recordings (see Accessing your recordings).  Long click the recording(s) you want to move over to Dictomate Pro, the recording will become highlighted.  You can select multiple recordings to export multiple at once.  After you have selected your recordings press the application menu button (circled in Figure 1)

Select the Export/Share option from the menu as shown below

The export dialog box will appear (Figure 3) simply press the Select button, your recording(s) will be exported to this folder

You will see a confirmation message when the export is complete

You also have the option to share your recordings with other applications such as Google Drive.  We will skip this step, press the back button on your device to close the Share dialog

At this point your selected recording(s) have been written to disk (the exact file location is displayed in Figure 4). 

You are now ready to import this file into Dictomate Pro.  Close Dictomate Lite and open up Dictomate Pro.

Navigate to your recordings and press the application menu button (top right of screen), the select the Import Recording option (Figure 5), this will open the Import File dialog box

Use the Import File dialog box to locate the file that was exported from DictomateLite (he path is shown in Figure 3 & 4 above). 

The Import Dialog will be pointing to the disk storage location for Dictomate.  Point to the DictomateLite folder by pressing the two dots ".." shown in Figure 6

The step above navigates the Import File dialog box to the parent folder.  You will see a list of folders, from this list locate and select the DictomateLite folder as this is where the DictomateLite exports reside

Clicking the DictomateLite option will open the folder and display all files available for import, click the file you want to import, in this case export1.zip

When you click on the file to import the dialog will refresh and the filename will appear at the top of the dialog similar to Figure 9.  When you are happy with your selection press the Select button

The recording(s) contained in the file you selected will be imported into Dictomate.  The recording "Team meeting Jan 16" has been exported from DictomateLite and imported into Dictomate as shown below
