Version: Dictomate (Pro)

How to summary: As your list of recordings grow it can become difficult to locate individual recordings, this How To shows how to easily search all Recording and Bookmark entries.

The key to quickly and easily locating the correct content is to assign each recording and bookmark a relevant title.  When creating recordings and bookmarks they are assigned default titles e.g. Recording 1, Bookmark 1, Recording 2, Bookmark 2, Bookmark 3 etc. To get the most out of Dictomate it is best to rename your recordings and bookmarks as you create them (covered in section Creating bookmarks) to something more meaningful so as they can be searched for with specific search terms.

All of your recordings are located in the Recordings section.  From the main Dictomate screen press the Recording button to display the list of your recordings.  Recordings are displayed in reverse date format i.e. the most recent recording is displayed at the top of the list.

As your list of recordings grow locating specific recordings may become difficult.  To help find your recordings more easily you can use the application Search functionality.  To do this click the magnifying glass icon located in the action bar (top of the screen, see Figure 1).  You can now enter your search term, for this example we want to find all recordings that begin with the words "doctors visit"
